5" Dahlke DDXD dredge for sale
For sale 5" Dahlke. No time to use it and I can't stand to see it idle so much each summer. 8HP Honda/ DP500 pump 3 years old (maybe 200 hours on). T80 with rebuild kit. 20' hose w/ 2 swivel nozzles, one I had made with a flap to break suction. Take the original dredge with riffles, or the whole thing with 2" sump I had made for a fine gold getting machine. Dredge is located in Colorado. $3000 Contact ME at me_co2004@hotmail.com HH Mark

Re: 5" Dahlke DDXD dredge for sale/ anybody ever dealt with a rifiner?
Hi SLV,
I'm gonna make this a 2-part post. Thanks for the well wishes- unfortunately they didn't work LOL. Weather was uncooporative and unfortunately I'm not still young enough to not care haha. Went to all the trouble to pack the thing down and set it up and even got a few hours in before the rains came and I found it alot easier to hang out under the tarp and drink beers. I was on the Arkansas river by Buena Vista and my "fine" gold recovery still works but I am no longer willing to sink any more frns or energy into it haha. I did a little "silver minin" (bank hoppin), and I do have a little bit of gold in cons- I might have paid for gas but definately not the beer and steaks haha. Hope you did good in WY, bigger gold is always a good thing. On to the next subject, I have a "friend" who wants my dredge and I told him I would give it to him for $2500 or 2.5 GAE's (he's got 20). Well he came to ME offerin 2 oz of dust (runs about 87%) and $500. My problem is if I want $$$$$$$ (for the silver mine haha) I've gotta send in like 3oz (a friend told ME to make it worthwhile) and I'm gonna take the loss of the impurities and fees- this I know but............is this also "INCOME"? I already paid taxes when I bought the dredge- I don't wanna pay more when I sell it!!!!!!!!! Any help on this would be appreciated. HH all, Mark |
Re: 5" Dahlke DDXD dredge for sale
I am happy to say that the dredge is sold and gone this time. I didn't even have to trade it for gold- I got FRNs and traded some today for a little gold and alot of silver. Saved enough for Monday to go to the local guy and see what he will do on a yella ounce.
Best part is I don't have to store it anymore nor worry about being stuck with a very expensive boat if they ever outlaw dredging. Now my cargo camper is empty sos I can go and hookup for a weekender whenever I want- maybe next weekend "To Celebrate". HH all, Mark |
Re: 5" Dahlke DDXD dredge for sale
Glad you got it sold. I'm toying with the idea of a 3" to work Douglas Creek west of Laramie, WY. Any larger and you have to buy permits and file mining intents. Better yet, I might just get a White's GMT and nugget shoot -- the "easy route" like RenoChris. :D

I'm toying with the idea of going to Beaver Creek by Fairplay, CO next weekend if the weather is nice- if it ain't gonna be nice though forget it, at 11,000' I was snowed on once in July. I got a thing the old timers used to use called a "Puddle Box", basically a trough I line with carpet and funnel into a sluice. No more slowly feeding the sluice, just walk over with a couple half buckets and throw them in and go dig some more. By the time you get back she's ready for another load, and the carpet lining holds most of the pickers for instant gratification. I got a Tesoro LST but don't have the patience to learn it- every time I try, when I get to the point where I want to break it over my knee its time to put it back in the truck haha. HH Mark |
